The pricing above is indicative for the basic kit installed in a straight forward application. Your particular vehicle will need to be properly assesed and quoted. All vehicle restoration work, any other modifications, engineering compliance, and VASS certification is at an hourly rate plus parts and materials.

This e-kit 5 is a turn key kit made to suit a range of mid sized classic cars, there are standard kits to suit for example; E type Jag, Early Mercedes, Kingswoods, early Porsche and more being developed. I can however adapt any of the AEVS EV conversion kits to suit any vehicle, a custom installation, engineered and tailored to suit your car, along with any restoration work and rego compliance. I am more than a fabricator and metal man, I worked in manufacturing and mining for many years as an A' Grade Electrician with engineering training. I was the guy busniesses called when things didn't work. I designed variable speed drive electrical control systems and repaired them when they failed.  This is IBGT technology and AC motors. It has been around for decades, so while it all seems new to most people this type of classic car conversion has been happening since the early 1990s, most notably in the USA.
 
An EV conversion like this has to go through engineering approval with a VASS engineer for VicRoads vehicle registration.  Just like an engine conversion, an electric vehicle conversion triggers other requirements for classic cars, like for example inertia reel seat belts and collapsible steering column being the most obvious.  I have much experience with vehicle compliance having run this hot rod and restoration business since 2007, combined with my electrical background means I can do the whole job or just help you with what you need.
